Nate (he/him) is a highly versatile drummer, multidisciplinary musician, and experienced educator serving students of all ages, from absolute beginners to advanced players.
With over 20 years of performing experience and 8 years in music education, Nate excels at tailoring lessons to the individual, helping students develop confidence and discipline through drumming.
Nate grew up in South Seattle, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Music from the University of Oregon. While his main focus is Jazz and Jazz Fusion, he is adept at teaching a wide range of genres, including Rock, Funk, Hip-Hop, R&B, and Marching Percussion.
Beyond drumming, Nate is an avid music producer and recording engineer. When he is not making music, Nate enjoys nature, cooking, and drawing. He is thrilled to be teaching at Meter, providing a fun and supportive space for students to explore the world of rhythm and music.
